I want to offer a contribution
of music that will become a piece of history. This goal can not
be achieved without appreciating history. The 30s, 40s, and 50s
produced some of the best music ever heard. Being exposed to
this music at an early age, I often wished I had been born in
the midst of that era. Music has always been a way of making
my dreams come true; making me remember, forget, laugh and cry.
Through it all, music has been a continuing inspiration.
Orchestra music, big bands,
natural instruments, arrangements and melodies have found a permanent
place in the soul of my heart. Living in the dawn of a new century,
I strongly feel that the resurgence of this timeless music will
permeate the heart and soul of others. I believe this uplifting
musical tradition will continue to evolve, becoming universally
established into the musical mainstream.
My experience in live performances
has convinced me that world audiences welcome a different musical
menu, one where the entree has style, taste and maturity in its
sound. The finest wines are those which have aged. Vintage wines
and beautiful music are appreciated more today than when they
were first created.
It is said
that everything old becomes new. Artists can discover the legacy of the
future by verifying the past, creating a renaissance in cultural expression.
I have always loved the old music, now I want to unite with it to make
it new. This union will be a contribution to history and I want to share
in this event; come share it with me. |
